Will Monto has been an expert in the appraisal industry for over 12 years, specializing in machinery and equipment valuations. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, he was a manager at AccuVal-LiquiTec in their Machinery & Equipment Valuation practice, which was acquired by Gordon Brothers in 2015. His appraisals have been used for asset-based financing, mergers and acquisitions, tax and litigation support. Will served as an appraiser at Daley-Hodkin from 2003 until he joined AccuVal-LiquiTec in 2007. During his career, he led the appraisal work for one of the largest asset-based lending deals in Canada and built the valuation model used to appraise 10,000 rental cars. Will specializes in complex and analytical appraisal problems on projects where there is a lack of comparable sales data or where equipment has not been sold in a traditional sense, such as waste water treatment plants. He has worked jointly to value rocket launch pads for tax purposes, infrastructure-type projects including waste water treatment plants, and complex integrated process or chemical plants. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers in the Machinery & Technical Specialties discipline and is a member of the ASA’s Long-Island Chapter. Mr. Monto has also completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) coursework. He obtained a B.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York – Stony Brook.
