Takamori Ushiroda is Managing Director, Capital at Gordon Brothers responsible for overseeing asset backed lending and equipment finance services across Japan. He manages corporate and structured finance for Japanese clients both domestically and internationally.

Takamori leads a team partnering with management teams, private equity sponsors, strategic buyers and asset-based lenders to provide expertise and additional capital in special situations. Additionally, he has extensive experience providing customized solutions through effective structuring, underwriting, rehabilitation and asset monetization for Japanese corporate clients.

Takamori has nearly 30 years of experience in banking and finance with a proven track record of delivering tailored solutions, including turnaround and transformation solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Takamori held numerous positions at MUFG Bank, Ltd. over 28 years, across the banks Japan, Germany and Singapore offices. Most recently he was the head of the bank’s turnaround finance team, providing debtor-in-possession (DIP) finance.

Takamori has a Bachelor of Chinese Literature from Ritsumeikan University. He is based in Tokyo.
