Sonya Morlock-Ryals is Managing Director, Credit & Risk, Commercial Equipment Finance at Gordon Brothers. Sonya oversees the lending credit policy for the firm’s Commercial Equipment Finance offering and manages the team of underwriters to provide efficient equipment financing options to middle-market businesses on both a direct and indirect basis.

She has over 25 years of experience in financial services.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Sonya was a deputy chief risk officer at Flagstar Bank, formerly Signature Bank, where she managed credit, risk, compliance and portfolio management. During her tenure at Signature Bank, Sonya was a senior managing underwriter for the indirect equipment and capital markets finance portfolios. She was previously an underwriter and relationship manager at Capital One.

Sonya has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Adelphi University. She is based in Melville, New York.
