Paul has over 25 years’ experience in Asset-Based Lending (ABL), Commercial and Investment Banking. He established and led European ABL businesses for two major US banks, in the role of Managing Director.

In 1997, Paul set up the ABL business at Bank of America from a greenfield site, becoming a leading pioneer of ABL in Europe, winning many industry awards. He moved to JP Morgan in 2005 where his team innovated deal structures for large, complex pan-European and global ABL transactions, including Office Depot and Tata’s acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover. Since leaving JP Morgan in 2009, Paul has worked on several private equity transactions in a debt advisory capacity and advised KBC Bank NV on the sale of their ABL business to PNC Bank.

Paul is a former Chairman of the ABFA (Asset-Based Financial Association) and is a non-executive director of several investment and chemical companies.
