Lachlan Urquhart is Director, Client Coverage & Origination at Gordon Brothers responsible for providing asset-based solutions across asset services, trading, and lending and financing to corporate and institutional clients across Australia.

Lachlan has over 20 years’ experience in corporate business development, risk management and strategic planning across a range of industries, including agriculture, oil and gas, precious metals manufacturing and recycling.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Lachlan was a procurement finance manager at George Weston Foods, where he supported risk management and strategic financial planning for MAURI’s supply chain in Australia. Previously, he was an associate director of cross-commodity sales for Macquarie Group responsible for deal origination for the group’s commodity trading portfolio with a focus on the commercial and industrial markets. Lachlan also spent nine years with BASF Group, living in Switzerland, North America and China, working within its precious metal catalyst manufacturing and recycling business and commodity risk management group.

Lachlan has a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Queensland and completed the agricultural economics exchange program at Texas A&M University. He is based in Brisbane.
