John Heist, Jr. is Senior Director, Equipment Finance, Southwest & Western Regions at Gordon Brothers. John sources, evaluates, negotiates and executes deals for the firm’s North America Equipment Finance team in the southwest and western sales regions by developing and strengthening relationships with lenders, lessors, private equity professionals, investment bankers, attorneys and consultants.

He has over 30 years of experience in the equipment leasing and finance industry steering growth strategies, optimizing operations and leading cross-functional teams.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, John was the national syndication senior manager for productions and solutions at Toyota Industries Commercial Finance. He was previously the director of capital markets with several privately held equipment finance companies.

John has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration from the Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a former member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s board of directors and executive committee. John is based in Dallas.
