Patrick Millar

Patrick has more than 25 years of experience providing business enterprise and equity valuations, economic analyses, intangible asset valuations and expert testimony to closely-held and publically-traded businesses, government agencies and attorneys in private practice. He has extensive hands-on and managerial experience in the valuation of business entities ranging from billion dollar international corporations to small locally-owned partnerships and sole proprietorships. Patrick has directed valuations for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to, bankruptcy, eminent domain litigation, estate and gift tax valuations, feasibility studies, employee stock ownership plans, income tax disputes, interest expense allocation, labor disputes, marital and partnership dissolutions, purchase price allocation and wrongful termination litigation. He has also been named as an expert witness on numerous occasions and has testified in California Superior Court. Patrick has valued businesses in a variety of industries including advertising, aerospace, apparel, automobile, chemical, computer, construction, consumer electronics, food service, film and television post-production, furniture manufacturing, gaming, import/export distribution, insurance, legal, liquor, metal processing, paper, petroleum, pest control, specialty chemical, transportation and retail. In addition, he has broad experience analyzing accounting, economic and valuation issues and providing litigation support in those areas. Prior to joining the firm, Patrick was a senior manager in AccuVal-LiquiTec’s Business Valuation practice, which was acquired by Gordon Brothers in 2015. During his career, he also worked at Arthur Consulting Group. Patrick is a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) in the discipline of business valuation and is a past Secretary of the Los Angeles chapter. He earned his MBA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
