Robert Himmel
Head of North America Commercial & Industrial
Robert Himmel is Head of North America Commercial & Industrial at Gordon Brothers. Robert is responsible for the investment and disposition efforts of the firm’s Commercial & Industrial practice. He leads an experienced team that partners with companies and their investors, lenders and advisors to help them transform their businesses, overcome operational challenges and dispose of assets within the consumer products and manufacturing segments.
Robert has over 20 years of experience investing within the manufacturing, consumer products and machinery sectors, prior to which he had over 15 years of experience in the textile industry.
Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Robert was division president at Malden Mills Inc., where he previously served as vice president and general manager of the company’s North American business. Before that, he was the corporate vice president of product development and marketing at Guilford Mills, now part of Lear Corporation.
Robert is a board member of Hope & Comfort Inc., a former member of the Turnaround Management Association’s board of trustees and Jewish Vocational Services Inc.’s board of directors, and a former vice president of the Knitted Textile Association’s board of directors.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University. Robert is based in Boston.
