Lawrence Klaff is a Principal and Managing Director of the GB Merchant Partners’, a Gordon Brothers Group company, structured loan team, of which he was a founding member. Mr. Klaff has been working on structured loans for over a decade at Gordon Brothers Group. He joined Gordon Brothers Group in 1996 and served as Senior Associate in the Appraisal Division. During that time, he was also actively involved in business development and marketing opportunities for Gordon Brothers Group. Mr. Klaff was promoted to Vice President in 1999 and began focusing primarily on structured loans and business development. In 2002, Mr. Klaff became a Managing Director devoting his time to the structured loan team. Mr. Klaff was promoted to Principal in 2006. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, Mr. Klaff specialized in store planning and distribution for Filene’s, a division of May Department Stores. Mr. Klaff is a Board Member and Past Chair of the New England Chapter of Commercial Finance Association (CFA), is currently an Executive Board Member of the National CFA, a Board Member and President of the Northeast Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and a Director of the National TMA. Mr. Klaff has a BA from Hobart College and an MBA from the Kogod School of Business at American University.
